The scandal with the season three winner of "American Idol," Fantasia Barrino, has traveled to a new height. According to the report by Radar Online, Barrino who has been dealing with her recent delimma with married boyfriend Antwaun Cook, confessed in a North Carolina courtroom that she had an abortion. She says that she was pregnant and had the abortion around the same time she tried to kill herself in August.In addition to her shell-shocking confession, Barrino testified that she dated Cook "off and on for about 11 months." She was questioned about having knowledge of Cook's marriage to ex-wife Paula and if she knew that they were living together, Barrino responed that she at the time "believed that he had seperated from his wife." Paula pressed the issue about Barrino and her then husband's secret rendezvous in a hotel room days after they met. There was no media allowed in the courtroom but a source that was inside reported to Radar, "Paula's laywers is arguing that they got the room because she knew he was still married."
Fantasia Barrino was in headlines last August being labled as a "home wrecker" by Paula. Fantasia was believed to have been having an affair with Atwaun Cook who was then married. The overwhelming media attention caused Fantasia to attempt suicide and she was rushed to a North Carolina Hospital. It was reported that the 26 year old singer overdosed on a "asprin and sleeping aid."
